Being raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the 80’s, the culture was innovative and spontaneous, which has deeply influenced the way I approach my abstract, surrealistic work. The authentic sounds of Philadelphia life through jazz and hip-hop had great impact on my artistic style, especially because so much of it reflected roots tied to the motherland, Africa.

My color choices in hues, textures, & technique are all a culmination of thoughtful consideration and special detail, all representative of creative influences that drive me to bring forth conscious imagery of us as a people in a futuristic manner.

My mother and father both helped add depth and dimension to how I see life and experience the world as they each offered different perspectives that I cherish even today, and instilled much discipline and spiritual principles that have weaved themselves into the tapestry of my life.
